Grace and Dane had their wedding at The Trellis on a sunny day in June.

The couple started their marriage with a compromise. Dane always wanted a summer wedding, whereas Grace cared more about her dream honeymoon. So he chose the wedding date, and she made the honeymoon plans.
The Trellis - An All-In-One Venue
The pair chose The Trellis for their wedding because they loved that they could do it all in one place. They liked that they could have the ceremony and reception within feet of each other.
Another deciding factor for the couple was the convenience and affordability of the venue. Grace officially knew it was meant to be when she saw the horse decor in the Main House. Being a huge horse lover herself, it felt like the final sign.
Wedding Decor Made with Love
The bride took it into her own hands (literally) to handle the decor. Grace wanted to keep costs to a minimum, so she decided to hand-make all the decorations. She stated, "I really didn’t take in how much those decorations meant until I saw our wedding photos come back! Definitely something I’ll always remember".

The couple also chose their colors with both opinions in mind. They mixed Grace's favorite color, teal, with Dane's navy and tied them together with accents of gold.
With a Little Help from Friends (and Family)
As Grace and Dane decided to have minimal vendors and zero staff, everyone pitched in to bring the day together. Although the day wasn't completely stress-free, "all the important moments were perfect and that’s what mattered the most".
The help from friends and family made the day, and these newlyweds will always cherish that memory. (Even if the bride barely made it into her dress on time).
Advice to Future Newlyweds
It is easy to let the craziness of the day consume one another on your wedding. Grace suggests that future couples stay present and take time to truly enjoy the little moments.
On your wedding, you should "stop and look around at the day you made and the group of people who are now family because of you two." At the end of the day, it's about the family you created and the future days to come.
